Who Told You To Stop?

Have you ever admired someone who was on an upward trajectory to greatness, then all of a sudden you did not hear from them or about them? Your observance of their absence, motivated you to investigate into their whereabouts. Then you got the disturbing revelation that they were derailed and sometimes even passed on into eternity. The feeling of disappointment and shock left you speechless and greatly disturbed. The only thing that seemed to come to mind in the situation was, “Who told you to stop?”.

There is a scripture in the Bible found in the book of Galatians.

Galatians 3:1 (KJV)

3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

We often hear of people in the news who were doing so well. But, somewhere down the line they stopped to do drugs, death, promiscuity or criminal activity. I just want to yell at them, “Who told you to stop?”. This is why we are so adamant about our message, “Empowered Value, Empowering Value”. God has empowered you to do great things. We must be intentional about staying on the wall. We cannot allow life, people or even our blessings to derail us. God has given us a life-long Mission to fulfill His purpose for our lives. We must affect lives for the Kingdom of God, with our individual impactful purpose.

Jesus was intentional about fulfilling His mission, in spite of the potential distractions. Jesus did everything on purpose. If you want to achieve greatness you must be relentless about living on purpose. Any time you allow yourself to get distracted you are taking a few steps back from your Mission. The devil notices your distracted self and is just waiting to capitalize on your vulnerability. Maintaining a life of prayer and studying of God’s Word will provide all the motivation and focus that you need. You are doing well! Stay focused! Stay on your Mission Track! Keep it moving!
