The AfterParty!
The afterparty buzzes with an electric energy, a continuation of the evening's festivities. The afterparty isn't just a celebration; it's a space for empowerment. Here, individuals are encouraged to embrace their potential, fueled by the energy of collective ambition and shared goals. A sense of community emerges, highlighting the importance of every participant in shaping the future.
As the night unfolds, conversations twist and turn like the melodies playing in the background, weaving a tapestry of possibilities. As everyone knows, I have been consumed with the Olympics for the past two weeks. Although the competitive festivities are over, I could not help but notice the celebration that ensued, once the competitions were over. You could visualize the delight and release all over their faces. The Closing Ceremony always seems to have a lighter note than the Opening Ceremony, every time you view the Olympics. Some brought home medals, and some did not. But, all-in-all the pressure of the competition was finally over.
This translates to the journey of life. As the saying goes, “Work hard, Play hard”. If you are diligent to work hard at your purpose, you will be able to enjoy the harvest with a celebration. Too many times, we get deterred by the hard work and even the struggle at times. But, the rewards always outweigh the hard work. It always feels better to celebrate your wins, as opposed to the losses. We cannot forfeit the work because we do want to feel the discomfort or the press. The pain and discomfort will not be able to compare, to the joy that lies on the horizon. One phrase that is taken from the legendary Kobe Bryant is, “Champions Don’t Panic”. They just win! You cannot be afraid of the work, pain or discomfort. The prize and the impact is what you have to set your eyes upon. 1 Corinthians 9:24 says,
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
We must run to obtain all that God has in store for us. Your business requires you to run! Your audience and customers require you to run! Your family require you to run! God demands that you run! So RUN already! Stop the wining! Stop the hesitation! The AfterParty will be worth it!
