KEEP IT! DON’T LOSE IT!

I had a dream that completely baffled my mind. I was asked to perform a task that is all too natural for me. I have spent countless hours working to perfect this gift that God has entrusted to me. But, for some reason I just could not locate the task that I was supposed to perform. It was quite troubling, because I knew that I had prepared that task, to present on this platform. Has that ever happened to you? What should come natural, is hidden and difficult to locate, for some unforeseen reason. It was then that I began to pray and declare God’s word over the situation. Just like that, I got the revelation to reach into the arsenal of my memory, where all my greatest treasures, were stored. It was a wonderful feeling, when I discovered just the treasure that I needed for the occasion.

There’s a saying, “Use it or Lose it”. The Bible admonishes us to keep that which we have received. What a simple, yet profound statement. Last week, we focused on being good stewards of what has been entrusted to us. This week we focus on using what we have been given, so that we will not lose what has been entrusted to us. Jesus was thrilled to testify to the Heavenly Father, that He did not lose not one thing or person that was entrusted to Him. He felt the need to voice this triumph to God. It is important for us to keep and build on what we have received. The thought of losing what I had received, was very terrifying. It is good to grow and diversify. However, always be intentional about maintaining and growing in everything that has been entrusted to you. Every gift or talent is important for growth and impact. It is all part of your God-Purpose. Don’t forget your beginning, to focus on your present. Work it all! Build it all! It all works together for your good.
