Don’t Forget to Pray!
On March 30, 1981, President Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinckley, Jr. Thankfully he was not killed in the assassination attempt. He was quickly taken to the nearest medical facility, where he received medical care. Nancy Reagan quickly rushed to his side at the hospital. Upon her arrival at his bedside he said to her, “Honey I forgot to duck”. This was bit of light-hearted humor that President Reagan was known for. President Reagan lived to tell this story for many more years.
In this life we have been given the greatest spiritual weapon of mass destruction, called “Prayer”. Prayer is our FAVA Conversation with God, directly. We have direct access to the greatest intel known to man. Yet, Prayer is often the least used weapon. Before we even wake up in the morning, the devil has been plotting ways and means to bring about our destruction. This is why our first mode of operation every day, should be communing with God.
God has intel on our day and everything that we don’t even know is taking place. When we converse with Him, we receive the aerial view of our daily occurrences and what our action plan should be. We cannot afford to start our day without prayer. My conversations with God has saved me from countless disasters that are seen and unseen. Just recently, I experienced someone who was definitely in a mood that was anti-social, to say the least. I could have reacted in a manner that would not have been a good representation of the Kingdom of God. But, my conversations with God equipped me to act in a Godly manner as opposed to reacting in a less than wise manner.
God has already prepared benefits to preserve us from the mines devised by the devil. Constant communication with God will mellow us and elevate us. Whatever you do, “Don’t Forget to Pray!”. Just like President Reagan, it could be the difference between life and death. Prayer is the lifeline that we cannot afford to live without. Prayer brings sharpness, insight and revelation. Before you do anything or talk to anyone, Pray! Pray! Pray! You have the Aerial Shot! Don’t Forget to Pray!
